Start with the meal you want to serve

A useful Thanksgiving shopping list starts with your guest count, the dishes your family enjoys and the space in your refrigerator. Write down who is coming, which guests prefer white or dark meat, and whether you want leftovers. A whole turkey can be the centerpiece, but it is not the only way to build a holiday meal. Turkey breast, roasters, Cornish hens and ducks offer other approaches. Before you choose, decide which pan, oven space and serving dishes you will use.

Explore the November turkey selection

The Prime Meats November flyer lists whole turkeys, turkey breast, turkey breakfast sausage, ground turkey, turkey Polish Boys, turkey ribs, fresh turkey, smoked turkey, wings, drums and necks. These are selection listings, not a promise that every item is ready for immediate pickup. Ask the counter about current availability, price and preparation needs. Turkey necks, drumsticks and wings are also listed in 30-pound boxes at market price. A household dinner and a large gathering call for different quantities, so explain your plans before choosing a box.

Build an alternative menu

If turkey is not your family tradition, November offers other starting points. Whole chickens are 2 for $12.00, whole or cut. Lamb racks are $19.99 per pound for 2 or more, as stated on the flyer. Chuck roast is $7.99 per pound, bone-in or out. Compare the amount you need, the cooking method and the side dishes rather than choosing from the headline price alone. Ask how the cut is prepared and what portion planning makes sense for your menu.

Work backward from Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026. For frozen turkey, FoodSafety.gov advises refrigerator thawing at 40°F or below and roughly 24 hours per 4 to 5 pounds. A large bird needs several days, so check its weight and plan before the final shopping trip. Use a tray to contain drips and keep the refrigerator organized. Follow safe cooking guidance and use a food thermometer; poultry must reach 165°F. Do not use color alone to judge doneness.

Ask before the holiday rush

Bring your written list and ask about availability, special orders and holiday hours. The flyer gives regular Monday–Saturday hours, but it does not confirm Thanksgiving opening hours or an order deadline. We will not invent either. Check directly before you travel. Prices are subject to change. For holiday meal ideas and new specials, follow @PrimeMeatsLLC and share this guide with the person helping you plan the table.
